Primary school classes take children from the age of 5 educated in an English school where the Head teacher gives permission for the child to attend lessons at the EFB once a week (“Day Release”).
Our highly qualified team of teachers adhere as closely as possible to official National Curriculum for French. Within their allocated time, they teach writing, reading, grammar, spelling and vocabulary, all of which help further the children’s progress in both speaking and writing French.
These lessons are combined with artistic, scientific, and cultural activities to foster the children’s creative and expressive skill sets.
Various resources are used, from computer- based tools to the traditional dictionary, in order to aid learning.
The children also enjoy contact with pupils from other primary schools in the Gironde, Ain, Rhône, and Island of Reunion, and this opens their eyes to school life across the Channel and overseas.
