The “Maternelle” (Nursery School) takes children from the age three to help them develop their French oral and writing skills. It is recommended that children have regular contact with the French language in family life whether they are French speakers, bilingual, English speakers, etc.
Immersion in the French language is delivered by a team of highly-qualified teachers. School activities are also geared to broadening horizons to the outside world and developing life and social skills in a multicultural environment.
The children become accustomed to French traditions in the course of events organised throughout the year, which also provide families with the opportunity of meeting each other at the School.
The EFB follows the French National Curriculum in the “petite and moyenne sections” (3 and 4 year olds). These classes are approved by the French Ministry of Education and may be subject to inspections.
